System of a Down Fort Worth Concert reviews
I need my metal
I bought my tix for this show just under 2 years ago. I believe this unprecedented wait has something to do with how much I enjoyed the show. Please don't misunderstand me - the performance was great but I really REALLY had fun. It was like 10k people let the cork out at the same time. Perhaps it was my crew, But it was just one of those events were everything jelled. We were pit. The $16 beer was cold and easy to buy. The $80 parking was super easy. The girls were hotter. The bands were on. The crowd was more into it. The Olympic torch was burning at the coliseum, and most importantly - the music was deep, heavy and loud. It was great! On the down, It was expensive, it was new because I had never been to that stadium before. It was completely and thoroughly exhausting. It was scary because of COVID and all the delays - I attempted to get a refund unsuccessfully several times over the years (now cover your ears ticketmaster) So glad I didn’t! But everything considered – it was the kind of concert experience that you never forget, and it drives you to spend even more insanely at the box office for the next one. Korn was perfection - but some bands just sound better from the pit. SOAD needs to save us from ourselves. Their music is more than necessary in the new normal. All of this music, when played live, and listened to while pushing and being pushed, is cathartic, religious and it resets my urban soul.
